William J. Fisher is standing in front of his home in Coverdale. William was born in this home as was his father, Isaac, and his grandfather, James. George Fisher, father of James, built the home. This picture is from the FNPG 2002 calendar. This section of the web page was created by Evan Caplan with assistance from a representative of the Seaford Historical Society. William Fisher was an unknown to the local Seaford community until the Friends of the National Parks Gettysburg calendar was published in 2002.
On the left is the large headstone marking the burial site of Lt. William James Fisher in the family cemetery. The smaller stone is the footstone marking the end of the gravesite. |
