Annual Appeal

Dear Members and Friends of the Seaford Historical Society,

Wonderful things are happening in and at the Seaford Historical Society this year. New exhibits at the museum continue to entertain and educate us. We are a planning Sunday afternoon mini concerts again. Our teas are sold out in advance and we have had great success with our auctioned dinners. Out at the Ross we are on our way to breaking ground for the New Ross Station, a magnificent, but simple center for education, entertainment, comfort and a place to welcome a growing number of visitors. The Education group has a full schedule of events and activities for young people throughout the year. Our lecture series at the Manor House has been wonderfully well attended by residents and the larger community as well. There will be many other things coming your way this year and we want you to be sure and be a part of it all.

We are the proud stewards of the Ross Plantation and the museum on High Street in downtown Seaford. We do our very best to keep costs at a minimum and search for grants and gifts regularly as well as income producing programs. This is our ANNUAL REQUEST TO YOU to do your part in helping us to PRESERVE, PROTECT AND PRESENT our history and culture to the region. We absolutely depend on your continuing generosity to maintain our facilities and programs.

Museums and historical preservations bring so much added value to a community. The message that we treasure those who came before us and those who are making history today is loud and clear. That we are able to teach this to another generation of children is critical to the quality of life they may aspire to and achieve.

Seaford Historical Society is a 501©3 entity and your gifts to us are tax deductible. Every gift Is hugely appreciated and put to the best possible use. If this institution has a sweet place in your life, be sure that it continues. You and we do this for today but in large part for tomorrow.

We sincerely thank you in advance for your generous monetary contribution as well as the gifts of your time and talents.

The Board of Directors of Seaford Historical Society, and Bev Hutton, president
