Webb Room

The Webb Room, located in the Seaford Museum at 203 High Street, Seaford, holds changing exhibits. Exhibits rotate about three times a year, with our popular Holiday Train Exhibit coming back every winter.

Yesterday’s Trains: open now until January 13th

The Seaford Museum will again this year feature a wonderful Webb Room Exhibit of Holiday Trains. This year’s train exhibit will have a beautiful Department 56 display of over seventy buildings in their Dickens Village collection. It is a lovely exhibit – perfect for adults and children. This exhibit will also feature a number of moving pieces. It is truly a perfect way to catch the Christmas spirit especially for the young people in your family.

Also featured in the exhibit will be the trains of the Pre-War period. These displayed trains capture the beginnings of the “Model Train” experience after the invention of electricity over 100 years ago. One of the trains on display was actually constructed 100 years ago in 1918! There are also several new trains, precisely copied from Lionel’s older trains: Yesterday’s Trains but updated! And the North Pole with Santa and his helpers is also displayed in the exhibit cases. And they are displayed near the floor level – perfect for the little ones!

Yesterday’s Trains will close on January 13th 2019 for the installation of our Spring/Summer exhibit, Made In Seaford
