Keyword Search: Click on the word Search…, enter a name or other term, and press Enter on your keyboard.

Note: The list will include issues with all words in the search, but not necessarily in the given order.  Searching for “John Smith” might yield a paper mentioning “John” Jones and Jane “Smith,” but not “John Smith.”

Search by Year or Publication: Use the Categories dropdown or the other search features to get a list of issues. Double-click the desired issue to download.

Expanding the Number of Issues Displayed: To see all newspapers meeting search criteria, set Display # to ALL

Searching an Issue: Open the downloaded file, press Ctrl and the F-key at the same time, type in the word or phrase you’d like to find and press Enter. The first instance of the word will be highlighted in the text (they can be hard to see). Click Enter again to go to the next instance, and so on.
